Goalie Joe Wichowski Named League MVP

Jun 19, 2006 -- At the Spring meeting of the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference it was announced that Fordham University Goalie Joe Wichowski was named as the league's Most Valuable Player. Wichowski, a junior, led the Rams to their best ever seasonal record of 21-4 while capturing the team's first league championship. For the year Wichowski led the league in wins (13), goals against average (1.96), and save percentage (93.1).

Overall Wichowski is already Fordham's career leader in wins, games played, save percentage, and goals against average. The Unionville, Connecticut native is a Communications major at Fordham and has an equally impressive 3.3 overall GPA.
