FOURTEEN FOOTBALL RAMS NAMED TO PATRIOT LEAGUE FOOTBALL ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL
2006 Recipients Largest Ram Group to be Honored by Patriot League
Center Valley, Pa.- (Feb. 2, 2007) - Lafayette's Brad Maurer was named the 2006 Patriot League Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was one of 106 student-athletes to be named to this year's Patriot League Football Academic Honor Roll, announced Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich Friday.
Included in the 106 student-athletes recognized were fourteen Fordham University football student-athletes, the highest number of Rams honored by the Patriot League Football Academic Honor Roll since Fordham joined the league in 1990.
To be eligible for the honor roll, a student-athlete must earn a varsity letter in his/her sport and must have a 3.20 or higher grade-point average during the academic semester which coincides with his/her sport.

The Fordham University Hockey program had 15 of its 24 rostered players with a 3.20 GPA for the fall semester.
The football team had 14 of its 90 rostered players with a 3.20 GPA.
Additionally, the hockey team had a fall semester GPA of 3.19 and a cumulative overall GPA of 3.08.
Junior Matt Pangia completed the fall semester with a perfect 4.0 and will be studying abroad this semester in China.
