Over the course of the last few weeks, the members of the Fordham University hockey program have volunteered their time within the community. They have been working with POTS, a non-profit service which offers residents of the Bronx who need assistance with hunger, malnutrition homelessness and health problems. All these services are offered under one roof and have been since 1982 free of charge to those individuals who need help, as the area surrounding the University is one of the poorest congressional districts in the United States. Members of the team assisted in things such as food preparation, food and water distribution, sanitation of eating areas, and management of seating.
